As the Safeguarding Lead at our preschool, I want to reassure you that keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to be part of Operation Encompass, which helps us work in partnership with local agencies to support children who may be affected by safeguarding concerns. I attend termly safeguarding training to ensure my knowledge is always current and in line with the latest guidance, and I share this information with my team during regular staff meetings to maintain a strong safeguarding culture across the setting. As the SENDCo for our preschool, I am committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. I work closely with families, staff, and external professionals to identify and support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), creating personalised strategies to help them reach their full potential. I regularly attend SEND training to keep my knowledge updated and share this information with the team during staff meetings to ensure consistent and inclusive practice across the setting.
